چکیده

ObjectiveThis study aims to determine the outcomes of transcaval embolization (TCE) for type II endoleak after infrarenal endovascular aortic repair (EVAR) and fenestrated/branched EVAR (F/BEVAR).MethodsA retrospective single-center cohort all consecutive TCE procedures between August 2015 2019 was performed investigate technical success, in-hospital morbidity, 30-day mortality as well clinical success during follow-up. The indication an aneurysm sac growth 5 mm or more owing a F/BEVAR juxtarenal IV thoracoabdominal aneurysm.ResultsA total 25 in 24 patients (95.8% male) were included. Technical 96.0% (24/25); selective nonselective 48% patients. morbidity 0%. median follow-up 23.1 months (interquartile range, 10.9-40.1 months). Freedom from endoleak-related reintervention 84.6% at 12 months. Comparing TCE, necessary 16.7% 20% TCE. Regarding vs F/BEVAR, 12.5% 33.3% follow-up.ConclusionsTCE is acceptable treatment alternative with enlargement can be used abdominal aneurysms aneurysms.

Late Type 3b Endoleak Mimicking Type 2 Endoleak after Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair

Endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair has been widely used for the treatment of AAA as a safe and efficient method, but endoleaks causing persistent expansion of aneurysm sac may cause aneurysmal rupture and death. Type 3 endoleak is rare but a predominant cause of late rupture. Type 3b endoleak can be misdiagnosed as type 2 endoleak, which is more frequent. Here we report two cas...

Repair of type I endoleak by chimney technique after endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair

Endovascular aneurysm repair is a minimally invasive, durable and effective alternative to open surgery for treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). However, in patients who do not have an adequate sealing zone, open surgical repair is required, which may increase mortality and morbidity. An alternative treatment in patients with challenging anatomy is the so-called "chimney graft" techni...

Embolization for type 2 endoleak with sac expansion after endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm: safety and effectiveness

To evaluate the safety and outcome of embolization as treatment for persistent type 2 endoleak (T2EL) occurring after abdominal aortic stent graft implantation. This retrospective study included seven consecutive patients (one female, six males, mean age 72 years, range 66-88 years) with T2EL between January 2011 and September 2012. In all, T2EL was associated with an increase more than 5 mm in...

Fenestrated and branched endovascular aneurysm repair outcomes for type II and III thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms.

OBJECTIVE Thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm (TAAA) repair remains a challenging clinical pathology. Endovascular technology, in particular the evolution of fenestrated and branched (F/B) endografts used in endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) has provided a less invasive method of treating these complex aneurysms. This study evaluated the technical and clinical outcomes of F/B-EVAR for extensive ...

Evaluation and Coil Embolization of the Aortic Side Branches for Prevention of Type II Endoleak after Endovascular Repair of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm

Objectives: Aneurysm shrinkage after EVAR is the strong factor of favorable outcomes after endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR), and type II endoleaks is the risk factor of no aneurysm shrinkage or aneurysm enlargement in the long term. In this study, we evaluate the aortic side branches relate to early postoperative type II endoleak, and performed coil embolization for those ve...
